We are excited to announce that the USCRA will be partnering with MotoAmerica again this year for the 2018 North American Vintage Invitational presented by Heroic Apparel at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey on September 7-9.
Featuring a field of classic Period 1 machines, the Invitational will showcase a variety of makes and models from early tank shifters to factory racers from the 60's. Mark you calendars-you won’t want to miss this fantastic event! The USCRA, in conjunction with the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association is excited to present the Tower Hill Climb in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire on Tuesday, June 12th, as part of the 95th Annual Laconia Bike Week, June 9-17, 2018.
This unique event is an historical exhibition of the original Tower Street Hill Climb, dating back to 1916. There will be a variety of vintage machinery competing, including Vincent, Velocette and tank shift Indians. The event begins at 11am and admission is free. Can't wait to see you there! “Rich Schlachter, a New England native, has gone down in history as the ultimate privateer,” said Bob Coy, founder and director of the USCRA. “He’s an important part of American motorcycle racing history and we’re thrilled to have him part of our vintage racing community.” In the late seventies, and with the help of legendary tuner Kevin Cameron, Schlachter was a top-ranked rider who campaigned his way to the pinnacle of the international racing circuit. He won the 1980 AMA Formula One race and the 1979 AMA Superbike race both at Loudon, New Hampshire. ![]() The USCRA is happy to announce it's return to New Jersey Motorsports Park again this season along with our Vintage Race Group (VRG) partners on September 18th-20th, 2015. As part of NJMP’s official ‘Vintage Weekend’, the USCRA will be running it’s second annual 'Garden State Classic'–Three days of the best in vintage motorcycle and sidecar racing on NJMP's Lightning course, it's promises to be an fun and exciting close to our season. For those of you who joined us last year, we look forward to having you back on NJMP’s 1.9 mile, 10-corner Lightning course. A fantastic, fast, flowing track with a long straight, elevation changes, blind corners and a ‘Parabolica’ corner that seems to go on forever! If you haven't been on Lightning, you are in for a tremendous racing experience. For all USCRA club members, this is a double points event (double points each day of racing), so championships may hang in the balance! Some specifics on the event: • Like last year, we will run a practice on Friday afternoon (Sept. 18th) • We will have a full round of 6-lap races on Saturday the 19th • There is the possibility of running a 2-hour endurance on Saturday if we can generate enough interest and have enough entries. This would be a separate entry fee. • Sunday the 20th, we will run a full round of 8-lap races • We will be honoring ALL current and valid licenses from the following racign organizations: CCS, AHRMA, WERA, VRRA and the SRA • We will be holding a race school if there is enough interest. That cost will be $450. POP entry allows the individual rider to enter as many machines as they like, in as many classes as their machines are eligible to race in.
