| Ultralightweight, Lightweight and Heavyweight Supervintage (Period Il)
Period II Ultralightweight class is limited to approved air cooled machines made
after 1968, like the Honda MT air cooled and the Yamaha series TA, TD also
limited to 200. Period II Lightweight and Heavyweight Supervintage
classes are limited to thoroughbred grand prix motorcycles, and race-prepared
roadster motorcycles of comparable performance and appearance, with a maximum
model year of 1972, maximum displacement of 850cc, two- or four-stroke, with
the following exceptions permitted regardless of model year:

BSA factory team machines (and replicas) used to 1972, 650cc twins

Ducati bevel drive singes and twins

Harley-Davidson KR750 and XR750

Honda MT 125 (air cooled)

Modified Honda CB/CL/SL 350 and 360

Moto Guzzi to 1980

Suzuki TR500, T500, TR750

Triumph factory team machines (and replicas) used to 1972, 650cc twins

NOTE: above "excepted" machines are still subject to general Supervintage rules
set forth below, irrespective of original equipment.
Classes based upon specification and displacement:

Ultralightweight Supervintage:

Up to 200cc-single or twin 2-stroke air-cooled engine from approved list

Lightweight Supervintage:

Up to 250cc-twin cylinder 2-stroke

Up to 360cc single cylinder 2-stroke

Up to 360cc single cylinder 4-stroke

Up to 360cc-twin cylinder 4-stroke

Up to 350cc four cylinder 4-stroke

Heavyweight Supervintage:

All other Period II Supervintage legal machines, 850cc maximum displacement.
Maximum displacements above do not include permissible overbores of 5% over
class limit
Rules applicable to Periods II Supervintage Classes:
i. Engine: No pressurized induction. Internal updating permissible; external
appearance should remain same.
ii. Gearbox: Internal updating permissible; external appearance should remain
same.
iii. Wheels: Wire-spoked wheels, minimum 17 inch diameter, maximum width 2.5
inches (WM-4) front, 3.0 inches (WM-5) rear.
iv. Tires: maximum width of 140mm (as stamped by manufacturer on tire). Treaded
tires only: no slicks, or slicks treaded after manufacture.
v Brakes: period type and make required; discs allowed
- period calipers ONLY.
vi. Maximum fork tube diameter 38mm unless machine originally equipped
ex-factory with larger units.
vii. Swingarms must be 2-sided, of period design and materials, and have a
shock absorber located on each side without secondary linkage (OEM excepted;
e.g., Vincent and NSU).
viii. Bodywork must be of a design and appearance actually used in the
applicable period.
vii. Carburetors: Round slide or Sand cast "tickler" type CR carburetors in
