Pre'65
Pre '65 350cc up to 350cc two and four stroke Pre '65 500cc 351cc through 500cc two and four stroke, PROVIDED sidevalve engines up to 750cc are eligible Displacements above do not include permissible overbores of 5% over class limit iii. All machines subject to Grand Prix Period I rules, except as specifically provided below. iv. Chassis: MUST be original, no reproductions or replicas. Frames may be reinforced in a period manner. Swingarms must be both original AND unmodified. ONLY exception: Lister Replica frame used on Alan Taylor Special Velo. v. Brakes: Drum only, of a design available in the period, with a maximum drum diameter of 8 ½ inches. vi. Maximum fork tube diameter 35mm; forks may not have mounting lugs intended for disk caliper mounting. vii. Rear shocks must not be mounted "upside down" or have air or other gas fittings. viii. Bodywork must be of a type actually available in the period. ix. Exhaust systems must be of a design and appearance actually used in the period; silencers excepted.
