Vintage Off-Road Festival with Mick Andrews, Joe Bolger and Paul Stannard
Hi Vintage Racing Fans - an update on the 2012 Ormstown Vintage Off-Road Festival 24,25,26 August
Volunteers from our Trials group worked last fall and this spring to enlarge the MX track. In the process new Trial section possibilities were discovered. Newly planted grass seed is sprouting and we have a series of pumps for watering.
We saw Mick and Jill Andrews at the Unadilla Rewind event and they are looking forward to seeing all the Trials students and racers. In the Saturday morning concours, Joe Bolger will judge Best in Show and Paul Stannard from Strictly Hodaka will scrutinize the Hodaka entrants.
PLEASE SEND IN YOUR ENTRIES BY JULY 31st so we can organize race schedules, trophies and dinner numbers. We can accept some post entries on site, cash only.
MX racers please take note that the AGE CLASS was intended as an additional class where you can ride whatever Vintage bike you rode in your main class. The additional class fee is $20 which you should enter in the "entry fee" square and check 40+, 50+ or 60+.
Hare Scrambles entrants please ignore the AGE CLASS line.
Moto Internationale and the Gref Family are graciously providing T shirts for the racers.
A canteen will be on site for the weekend and the Ormstown Scouts are preparing the Saturday night dinner. Once again you can look forward to Donna Larocque's peanut butter pie for dessert. Reserve your tickets on the entry form.
After the dinner guest speakers and the trophy presentation the acoustic blues duo Clarksdale Moan will entertain you.
For those of you who don't camp, the B&B on site is booked but for other accommodations in the area you could check the tourist site www.circuitdupaysan.com
