Hi all, Cathy Smith who is the director of the 2-day event (Sept.17-18) asked me to give you all the heads up.

Racing on Saturday the 17th is round 3 of the USCRA Road Race Series. The schedule is somewhat condensed and will feature several combined classes (more than usual). The Masters/Super Masters race and the second Sidecar race will be omitted from Saturday's schedule in order to present the 4th annual 'Big Fish, Little Pond' 3-hour endurance race.

There will be a pot luck BBQ Saturday night, so join in the feast and share some of your tastiest vittles.

Sunday the 18th, the USCRA's season finale features the 2011 FIM North American Vintage Road Racing Championships. There will be a FULL schedule of races on Sunday.

Registration forms for all of the weekend's races will be posted and available for download by the end of this week. We are also ambitiously planning a mailing which should go out by next week.

Please direct any inquiries regarding the event to Cathy Smith.

Thank, and hopefully I'll see some of you up at Mosport this weekend.

-Doug D.

Just curious.
What are the fees likely to be?
Will there be one entry fee for Sat. and another for Sun?

Yes. Two separate days of racing with two separate fees. Pending approval, the fees are:

Saturday's entry fees are the same as every other event so far this season:
PRE-ENTRY (Received by 09.15.11): $120.00 first class; $45.00 each additional class (incl. 2nd sidecar race).
POST-ENTRY (At track only 09.17.11): $130.00 first class; $50.00 each additional class. 50cc class only, $75.00.

The Entry fee for the 'Big Fish, Small Pond' Endurance race is:
PRE-ENTRY (Received by 09.15.11): $200.00 per team. POST-ENTRY $225 (At track only 09.17.11)

For Sunday's FIM Event, the is a $5 increase on first entry (pre and post) to cover the shirt costs:
PRE-ENTRY (Received by 09.15.11): $125.00 first class; $45.00 each additional class (incl. 2nd sidecar race).
POST-ENTRY (At track only 09.17.11): $135.00 first class; $50.00 each additional class. 50cc class only, $75.00.

Hi Doug,

You mention "(incl. 2nd sidecar race)" on Saturday, but there is no 2nd race. Seems if we aren't going to be offered a 2nd race at the lower price we should get some kind of break on the 1st race.

Bruce, Everyone (solos and sidecar) has to pay the full price for their first entry. If there is only one sidecar race that would be your first (and only) entry. Not trying to be difficult, but we had to make the best of the time we have for Saturday. We (meaning Cathy Smith and everyone else who is assisting her) have done our best to condense and compress the schedule to allow for the 3 hour endurance race. Concessions need to be made from everyone in order to hold that race. That also includes the elimination of Master/Super Masters on Saturday. If you want to discuss the matter further, please contact Cathy Smith, she is the director of the FIM event.

Thanks, Doug

Attention in the haddock! A copy of the REVISED schedule for Saturday's racing on September 17th is available here: https://www.box.net/shared/vzu6x5tvtdurreu3tm97

The classes highlighted in blue and pink represent the swapping we did to accommodate bumping for as many racers as possible. Please understand we had to condense the schedule in order to fit the 'Big Fish, Small Pond' 3-hour endurance race. If you have not already sent in your entries, please note the changes and fill out your registration form accordingly. If you have already sent in your entries, Eve will be able to help you out with changes at the track.
Thanks, Doug D.

I'm planning to bring the 16 old nephew for his first race. He has his Penguin certificate
from last fall and all the right gear. Is there any special paperwork for a minor that needs to be
rounded up prior to race day (birth certificates, notarizations, etc)? Or can we just do all the
paperwork on race morning?
