Hi All,
Thanks for the approval! My name is Yamanatic, but my 4 wheeled friends call me Warren. My passion is for the early (Classic Period?) Production racers (Road especially, but Dirt and Trials rate up there) from somewhere in the 1950's until around 1980 or so.
I ride a couple early TZ's of various sizes and configurations, and on those 'Special' days, I peel out the 1965 TD1B that has been set up for reliability and to handle; braced frame, Girling shocks, period correct but improved motor (the clutch has been moved to the main shaft of the gearbox and off the crank), and a few other subtle changes so I fit. There are very few TD1's to be found on grids here in the U.S. of A., and it sure would be fun to line up next to another one someday!
There are many more similar machines when the TY250 is between my legs, but the old plonker is getting even more tired than I do after a few hours scraping off parts on rocks and trees and such. I always soap up if there are water traps; I figure, might as well, as long as I am sitting there...
Thanks again, and best regards, Yamanatic (Warren)
