Attention in the Haddock!
Steve Aspland emailed me today letting me know that he will have the eject system should anyone want to purchase one.
While USCRA does not require it, it may be worthwhile looking into this equipment on a voluntary basis.
If you’re interested, give Steve a shout. He - Rising Sun - have been strong supporters of USCRA in the past more importantly, if any of you are interested in doing the LRRS vintage class, P-89, you’ll get a pass the first three races, then it is required for that series.
I guess Derbi’s don’t qualify for P-89

!! <g> How about that!! ... and Bove, your nose could DQ you, as it might be mistaken for a dustbin....

“ Jay,
I was contacted by one of the USCRA riders yesterday concerning the new rule for LRRS riders to have a Eject helmet removal system in the hats wondering if it applied to all racing organizations at the track.
Please pass the word that I have them available at a discount until the first LRRS race at the end of the month. (I will have them available as will other vendors after that time but I asked the maker to let me do a regional push seeing as though the track has made them mandatory.

[
i]Gentlemen,
I want to clarify the deal with the EJECT Helmet Ejection System here at NHMS. The only time we REQUIRE the use of the EJECT system is during Loudon Road Race Series events. We do not require them for USCRA events, we do not require the use of them for the 2012 Vintage Racing Celebration or for any track days that are not LRRS events.
If a rider from USCRA or another sanctioning body wishes to come to participate in a Loudon Road Race event, they will be allowed to race without the required EJECT Helmet Ejection System for a total of 3 events; after the 3rd event the rider MUST get the required system before they can race a 4th event, in essence, the “3 strike rule”.
Also, if USCRA riders wish to participate in the P-89 Class that we introduced for the 2012 Loudon Road Race Series weekends, we will accept the USCRA competition license. However, if the rider will be racing more than one or 2 of the LRRS series events, they will be asked to purchase and obtain a CCS racing license which can be purchased here at NHMS.
I hope this makes things clearer for everyone.
