Dear USCRA-ers,

There really isn't a category for this topic, but since I'm a road-racer, I guess I'll put it here...

First, let me assure you that what I'm about to tell you is not a practical joke.

No doubt, some of you have noticed that my physical appearance has changed significantly over the last few years.

The time has come for me to tell you all that I am transgender; specifically a male-to-female transsexual (see http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender).

And while I could perhaps hide the physical changes for a bit longer, I've made the choice not to do so.

I've known many of you for over 20 years, and have friendly relationships with (I hope) everyone in the club. Therefore, I thought it would be best not to surprise those of you who aren't already aware.

Despite the changes in my appearance and attire, I'm exactly the same person inside. It's not going to change my relationship with the club or with you as friends and fellow racers.

In return, it's my hope that it won't affect your relationship with me.

I sincerely look forward to seeing all of you soon.
